Delilah is a conflicting personality out of the diversity of characters from everyone of us. Dolls Magazine found the girl to be both prim and improper, naughty yet nice, vulnerable but invincible. One word to exactly define her is "mystery" and she could be the literal form of "mystery woman".
Delilah Noir dolls were on the drawing board for over a year and a half before she finally made her debut in the market. Its a long span for a doll to be designed, but the Ashton-Drake Galleries sees Delilah as a very complicated girl and that might be the reason why preparations
took a lot of time.
The history of Delilah Noir Doll collection is traced back when the Ashton-Drake Galleries was captivated by the old tale of a girl with a dual personality. Delilah's backstory is the age-old tale of good girl by daylight, daring girl by moonlight. The doll collection tells a story of a girl that has a happy home and attends a respectable prep school. She is the typical school girl, an ideal straight A student, timid and living by the book. However, when moonlight comes this shy and restrained girl evolves into a daring brat dressed with a corset and steampunk fashion styles. She hit the road as a people person decked out in laced-up boots, daring hemlines and intricate headwear.
The Delilah Noir Doll collection debuted
in August this year and expected to release other designs throughout the rest of 2009 and perhaps into 2010.
According to the Ashton-Drake Galleries, the Delilah Noir Doll collection will have released six or seven different dolls, including two limited editions by the end of the year. While early in 2010, Delilah's two best friends will be introduced in the market which Ashton-Drake see as the perfect time to propose an extremely limited-edition Delilah co-release with a highly respected Asian ball-jointed doll brand. Sounds sweet!
